Abbeyfield Great Missenden Facilities

One of the residents rooms“If I couldn’t be at home, this is the place I'd like to be” - Mary Hope - Resident

We provide very sheltered accommodation for fifteen residents.

Each resident has their own bed sitting room which they furnish. All have a small kitchen and all but one has either full or partial en-suite facilities. Some bed sitting rooms come with only an en-suite toilet and wash basin but all are in close proximity to bath and shower room and there are assisted bathrooms for those that need help.

“The food is excellent” - Beryl Cann- Resident

There is a spacious, comfortable lounge and a separate dining room where two meals are served daily. Abbeyfield Great Missenden pride themselves on the quality and freshness of the food. Meals are always prepared on the premises and great care is taken to allow for the residents preferences and dietary needs. The menu varies regularly and is designed to be wholesome and delicious.

Daily papers and a selection of magazines are provided in the lounge for all the residents. A helping hand is always close by as there is always the House Manager or the Deputy available as they live on the premises; and should any resident need assistance with bathing the House Manager can help the resident or sponsor make the arrangements.

“It couldn’t be better all the staff are wonderful” - Doug Richard- Resident

Although the House Manager or Deputy Manager lives on the premises, they are not on duty 24 hours, but they are available in an emergency. They are not qualified to offer nursing care.
